The former Neue Wache (New Guard House) on Unter den Linden is Germany’s memorial site for the victims of war and tyranny. The interior, reconstructed to look the way it did in 1931, contains an enlarged replica of the sculpture “Mother with Dead Son” by Kathe Kollwitz.
