If you see a little greenish-brown nub jutting between the shingles, that's a lizard. After entering our room one afternoon, we heard a ruckus above. Jeff assumed someone was working on the roof. I discovered otherwise when I saw a long tail dash from view. The ruckus was nails on the clay roof shingles as a lizard, who had been sunning himself, scrambled to hide himself. As we sat on the balcony, he would occasionally peek his head out to see if we were still there. We were. I kept expecting to find him in our room one evening but we never saw him again after that first day (darnit). I could have shown him my tattoo!
